Reverence 2023
Delhi Public School Durgapur celebrated 8th Annual Day and Prize Distribution ceremony “Reverence 2023.” on 30th September. The spectacular event that showcased the talent and achievements of the students began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing dispelling of darkness and pursuit of knowledge.
The school choir’s melodious welcome song resonated through the auditorium, filling it with a sense of unity and harmony. The school’s talented students with a mesmerizing fusion song, displayed their musical prowess. Sri Umesh Ch.Jaiswal,honorable Principal of DPS Durgapur placed his welcome address and felicitated the chief guest and other dignitaries. The inspiring oration of the President Sri S.S Agarwal ,appreciated the students and other stakeholders for their constant support. The Chief Guest ,Dr.Akanksha Bhaskar(IAS) ,CEO of Asansol Durgapur Development Authority, in her speech praised the school for such programmes to encourage the learners of today. The highlighting feature of the event was – release of the 6th Annual School Magazine- ‘Shades’.
The Principal’s Annual Report highlighted the school’s achievements and milestones reached by the students . Scholars who have excelled in academics and extracurricular activities were honored with prizes, special awards and Blue Blazers.
One of the highlights of the evening was the captivating dance drama, “Around the World in 80 Days,” performed by 654 students. Their brilliant portrayal of the adventurous journey left the audience spellbound, celebrating the diversity of cultures and the spirit of exploration.
The Annual Day was not only a grand spectacle but also a reminder of the endless possibilities that education and talent can unlock, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and anticipation
